Author Bio:
Joanne Pence is an award-winning and USA Today best-selling author 22 novels, plus several novellas and short pieces. Fourteen of her books were published by a traditional publisher (HarperCollins). Three years ago she learned what was happening in the world of “independent” publishing, pulled her newest book back from her agent and a New York publisher, and decided to try her hand at publishing it herself. She has come out with 8 books over this time, and has never enjoyed writing books as much as currently. Along with two mystery series, she has also written suspense, historical and contemporary romance, and a romantic fantasy.
Her books have been recognized by the Top Idaho Book and Author Award, Willa Cather Literary Award for Best Historical, Romance Writers of America’s RITA and Golden Heart, Golden Quill Award, Daphne du Maurier Award, and the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award in Mystery. Joanne now makes her home in the foothills north of Boise, Idaho, where she lives with her husband, two dogs, four cats, and a peahen (female peacock) who showed up one day and refuses to leave.
* NOTE: The morning will include a lot of computer-based instruction. If you can bring a laptop or netbook (Windows-based) that would be fine, but handouts will be available so you don’t need to bring one. Since many websites look different on an iPad and on mobile apps, using one of those for the workshop might be more confusing than helpful.
